Echo Centre, Liskeard  Cornwall Council
 
The Echo Centre Liskeard aims to provide quality services that empower and promote independence and enable individuals to make meaningful choices leading to a fulfilled and valued life within the community.
 
The Echo Centre is a purpose-built, multi-functional resource centre that offers a wide range of services and activities to people with physical disabilities living in the Caradon area of Cornwall. The centre's aim is to provide a quality service that promotes independence, social inclusion, empowerment and rehabilitation and offers carers a break. ECHO facilitates opportunities and experiences for people with physical disabilities, encouraging personal fulfilment, self-worth and reintegration into the community.
 
The Acting Centre Manager Helen Winchurch heads up the team of suitably qualified staff, that make the centre into what it is today.
 
Stefan, who is confined to a wheelchair with progressive multiple scelrosis, became an attendee in late 2009 said "When you enter The Echo Centre, you can feel the warmth and dedication of the staff, making it feel like you are part of the family you never knew you had".
